Somerset Tourism Awards 2021

Stockham Farm

I am really please to share the news that Stockham Farm, Exmoor has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards 2020/21 in two categories; Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year and the New Business Tourism Award.

I worked with Ali & Jeff at Stockham Farm a couple of years ago to help them plan the configuration and renovation of their holiday lets, ensuring that we retained the character and personality of the buildings, whilst at the same time guaranteeing they were family and dog-friendly. It looks as though they’ve succeeded!

It’s always a pleasure, and a lot of fun, to work on holiday lets. Planning requires a different mindset and holiday cottages have to be practical for families of all sizes, with and without children and pets. The space has to be adaptable, welcoming, manageable and, above all, offer a fabulous holiday experience.

I am currently involved in the planning of another holiday cottage refurbishment for a property in Beaminster, due to start in Spring 2021. If you’d like to follow this project, and others currently under way, take a look at the photos, videos and drone footage posted regularly on Instagram. And if you’d like help with planning the layout of your holiday let or project managing the building renovation then please do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
